Sámi tipi Mujjies is our most luxurious tented tipi – the perfect place for an overnight stay you’ll remember for a long time.
Imagine the rustling of mountain birches, the crackle of a fire, and a sky full of stars. Perhaps the northern lights sweep across the mountains that frame your horizon wherever you turn, while soft reindeer hides cover the floor beneath you. Here you prepare a Sámi meal just as it has been done for generations, with everything carefully prepared by us to make it as simple as possible for you.
The friendly Siberian jay often stops by for company – and perhaps to beg for a treat – while the soft cooing of the willow ptarmigan can be heard among the birches.
Our tented tipi is located at the edge of Mount Salsfjället and is extra cosy for the winter cold. The floor is covered in reindeer hides, the sleeping bags are extra thick and warm, and the stove provides heat without the risk of a smoky tipi.
The tipi is easy to reach, and if you wish to head further up the mountain, there are over 100 km of well-groomed ski trails just nearby.
