Is there anything more peaceful than sleeping in a Sámi tipi? An adventure where you can defy any weather, stay protected from the cold and insects, and experience the warmth and togetherness that fire has offered throughout the ages.
We have Sámi tipis set up on the mountainside near the Norwegian border, but you can also rent a tipi to pitch yourself.
Each tipi includes reindeer hides to sleep on, water, and firewood.
Water is also available from the nearby stream.
If you need additional equipment such as sleeping bags, cooking gear, etc, these are available for rent.

Just before the parking area at Valdalsbygget, there is a small gravel road to the right - marked by two wheel tracks. Follow this tiny road for about 300 metres until you see the tipi on the left-hand side.
